Car Riders2022-2023 CAR RIDER DROP OFF/PICK UP PROCEDURES

The safety of our students is top priority at TRMS.  Please follow these procedures when dropping off/picking up your student:

  • Doors open at 7:15 a.m. each morning.  Please do not drop off your student before this time.
  • 5th and 6th graders need to be dropped off/picked up in the back parking lot at the 6th grade hallway door.
  • 7th and 8th graders need to be dropped off/picked up in the front parking lot area (not the bus lane)
  • Please drive at a safe speed in the parking lots.
  • Please do not pass the car in front of you if they are not completely loaded or unloaded.
  • Please listen to and follow directions of school staff during drop off and pick up.

Dress CodeTRMS DRESS CODE UPDATE


Students may wear...

1. Denim pants and shorts (blue jeans). They MUST FIT APPROPRIATELY and be appropriate for school. No skin can be visible above the knees.

2. Hoodies. Hoods may not be worn over the head and they can’t have inappropriate logos or drawings. A dress code shirt must be worn underneath the hoodie.

Students who break dress code more than two times will be required to follow a stricter dress code for the remainder of the year, which will include no jeans or hoodies.

This also applies to TES, but not PHS.


 

Finn the Therapy Dog

TRMS would like to introduce our newest employee! Please meet Finn! Finn is our TSSD Therapy Dog. He will be working at TRMS on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from now on.  Welcome Finn!

How does it work?

With our anonymous reporting system, students, faculty, parents, and the public can easily & confidently report their concerns to help prevent violence in our schools & our communities. Tips can be submitted 24/7 through the mobile app from any compatible device. The TN Department of Safety & Homeland Security will review, assess, & then send all submissions to law enforcement, mental health crisis response teams, &/or school admins for intervention based on the info received.

What to Report

With SafeTN, you can anonymously report suspicious or criminal behavior and other safety concerns.You can do so by reporting observed threats, behaviors, or actions such as assault, sexual misconduct, violence, planned violence, and more.
